Why does IPTV buffer?
Buffering happens when your device receives video more slowly than it plays it. The cause is usually one of three things: your home connection, your device or the provider's servers. The first two are the most common — and the easiest to fix.
Fixes for your connection
1. Test your speed
Run a speed test on the device you watch on. You want roughly 15 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K.
2. Use a cable if you can
An Ethernet cable (or an Ethernet adapter for Fire TV) is far more stable than Wi-Fi.
3. Switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi
5 GHz is faster and less crowded than 2.4 GHz. Move the router closer to the TV or add a mesh point if the signal is weak.
4. Restart your router
Turn it off for 30 seconds. It clears memory and often fixes slowdowns instantly.
5. Pause other heavy usage
Big downloads, game updates and cloud backups all compete for bandwidth — pause them during a big match.
6. Check your router's DNS
Some broadband DNS servers are slow. Switching to a public DNS such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 can speed up channel loading.
Fixes for your device
7. Restart the device
Streaming sticks and boxes build up memory over days of use. A restart gives them a fresh start.
8. Clear the app cache
In your device settings, find the player app and clear its cache (not its data).
9. Update the player app

10. Lower the quality temporarily
If your connection is borderline, switching a channel from 4K to HD keeps playback smooth.

11. Try a different player
Hardware decoding and buffer size differ between apps. Increasing the buffer size in settings (if available) can help.
12. Refresh your playlist
Reloading the channel list or TV guide fixes channels that won't start.
